We are more alike than we are different. We all experience stress. We have all felt anxiety, self-doubt, and shame and we have all needed support for one reason or another at some point. We may know something needs to look different, we just don’t know the path to get there.

No one approach works for everyone and in fact, most of us often benefit from more than one form of therapy. Informed by sound theory, current research, and sound practice, my approach is individualized and based on the unique needs of each client. Together, we figure out the path forward.

Since 1999, I have developed understanding and specialized expertise in areas including trauma, eating disorders, feeding problems among children, as well as in relationships and family dynamics. I bring the culmination of over 20 years of knowledge and experience to each client and family with whom I work.

I am most passionate about working in partnership with my clients, and the important distinction between learning about people rather than treating disorders. I’m dedicated to providing a safe space for people ready to embark on the on the journey of self-discovery and healing.

It is one of my greatest privileges to get to do this work – and I look forward to doing it with you.

A bird is born to fly, born for the moment, it takes to the sky

And all its dreams are riding on its wings

But if it falls, the dreams aren’t broken

As long as the wind is fair, the sky is always there

I offer individual, couples, family and group therapy as well as coaching in the Satter Eating Competence and Feeding Dynamics models.

I incorporate “bottom up” therapeutic approaches such as mindfulness, neurofeedback, and EMDR. Attending to the central nervous system is pivotal to successful outcomes.

I enjoy sharing knowledge and expertise I’ve gained working with families for over two decades about the topics I am most passionate about. We'll choose the topics and forums that are right for you.

I work with individuals who are experiencing

Trauma can have long lasting effects on all aspects of your life, whether you remember the trauma or not. You might experience medical complications, physical symptoms such as tension or difficulty sleeping, and emotional symptoms such as anxiety, fearfulness, depression or shame. Treatment can prevent the onset or continuation of other problems.

Feeding can become a problem when your child is losing weight or having trouble gaining the right amount of weight for their age. With treatment, feeding problems can get better. Eating can turn into a safer, easier, and happier experience for your child and the rest of the family. Treatment can also help your child become healthier.

Eating disorders are serious mental and physical illnesses that involve complex and damaging relationships with food, eating, exercise, and body image. Having a comprehensive approach to treatment including psychotherapy, nutrition education and medical monitoring can help you manage symptoms, return to a healthy weight, and maintain your physical and mental health.

Co-occurring is the term used when someone suffers from two or more disorders, often including substance use disorder along with other mental health diagnoses such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, etc. Integrated care with a professional that has specialized knowledge is essential when seeking treatment.
